Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Anniversary Haircuts

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33’s first anniversary brought a free update that adds fresh haircuts for all six main party members. Instead of unlocking automatically, these styles must be purchased from Gestral Merchants. Here’s where to find them, plus a summary of the patch’s fixes and the studio’s celebratory milestones.

Anniversary Haircut Locations

Update 1.5.5, released on April 24, 2026, introduces anniversary haircuts for Gustave, Verso, Maelle, Lune, Sciel, and Monoco. You’ll need to visit two separate merchant spots on the world map.

Gustave’s new style is sold by a Gestral Merchant near Stone Wave Cliffs. There are three merchants in that cluster, so if the first doesn’t stock it, check the others. Notably, Gustave’s anniversary hairstyle is the same as Verso’s.

The remaining five party members can get their anniversary haircuts from a single Gestral Merchant near Grosse Tête, right next to Coastal Cave. That one merchant covers the whole group, so no further hunting is needed.

Patch 1.5.5 Bug Fixes

The update addresses several issues: the Danseuse outfit for Lune and Sciel no longer causes incorrect display in the character menu; rest points that couldn’t be opened during in-world dialogue are fixed; collision problems and achievement text errors have been corrected. Sandfall noted a temporary achievement-text issue after launch, which was investigated and resolved shortly after the update.
