Pokémon TCG Pocket: Track Down Missing Cards

The initial Pokémon TCG Pocket tutorial skips most collection-management features, but the game hides several tools that make tracking down missing cards much easier. Here’s how to put them to work for you.

      Card Dex and Search Options

In the “My Cards” tab, toggle the Pokédex button to switch to Card Dex View. This lists every card you’re missing and shows all details except the card’s actual appearance. To see cards of higher rarity or Promo-A cards, open the search options by tapping the Magnifier icon. At the bottom of those options, enable the view for higher rarities and Promo cards—this reveals upcoming Promo cards that aren’t yet obtainable.

      Pack Filters and the Wishlist

You can filter your collection by a specific booster pack, then see exactly which cards from that pack you still need. This is invaluable if you’re a collector aiming to complete a set. For players focused on building decks, it’s smarter to plan pack openings around the cards you need for specific decks. The Wishlist feature lets you add any missing card either from your Card Dex view or from a Wonder Pick you spot. Note that it only works for cards you don’t own yet—you cannot add cards you already have and want duplicates of.

      Optimizing Your Collection View

By default, your cards display in three columns. Pinch the screen to zoom outward, and you can increase the number of columns up to 11. This gives you a broad overview of your entire collection at a glance, making it easier to spot gaps or track progress without endless scrolling.
