According to the leaks, players will be able to use skins for 2B and 9S from Automata, as well as Kaine and Nier from Replicant. The leaked assets show the characters in their signature outfits, from 2B’s iconic blindfold to Kaine’s revealing attire. The Instagram post hints at an April 1 launch, which suits the playful, metafictional tone of Yoko Taro’s series. The datamine surfaced earlier this week, giving fans an early look at what’s to come.

Nier: Automata has transcended its cult classic status to become a mainstream hit, so it’s natural to see its characters pop up in other games. PUBG has built a reputation for unusual partnerships—past crossovers include K-pop group Blackpink and even Baby Shark. The Nier crossover continues that tradition, but with a twist: letting players dress as 2B often leads to strong reactions in multiplayer lobbies.
