Test of Treachery Dune Awakening – Quest Guide

After swearing allegiance to House Harkonnen in Dune: Awakening, your path diverges from the main story and trade-post contracts into a faction questline built on treachery, theft, and assassination. To start, speak to Maxim Kazmir at The Anvil tradepost—he stands a few meters from his Atreides rival, Anton Tolliver. Complete the two preliminary missions involving forged documents and bloodbags, and Maxim will offer you the “Test of Treachery” chain, a decisive step toward formal Harkonnen membership.

Unlocking the Quest

The Test of Treachery picks up where the forged-logs and interrogation plot left off. Maxim had hired the Kirab Bandits to deliver your counterfeit goods, but they demanded more money—a fatal miscalculation. House Harkonnen does not tolerate extortion, and your mission is to retrieve the forged documents and make the bandits pay.

Location: Imperial Testing Station #13

Head northwest of the Wreck of the Pallas to the eastern side of Hagga Basin in the Western Vermilius Gap. The entrance is on the southern face of a large rock outcropping. Inside, descend the stairs, pass through a round room, and enter a large area filled with salvaged metal. Keep right to find a Green ID band—this unlocks the left passage. At a circular table ahead, a briefcase contains Solaris and the Forged Documents you need. The station also yields useful materials such as Advanced Servoks, flour sand, and water.
