Expedition 33 Switch 2 Port Still Coming – Leaker
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was conspicuously absent from last week’s Nintendo Switch 2 Direct, and Sandfall Interactive has yet to make any official announcement regarding a port. Yet the game’s omission from the latest lineup doesn’t necessarily spell bad news for those hoping to explore the Lumière on Nintendo’s newest console—if a prominent leaker’s latest claim holds true.
A Leaker’s Promise
Insider NatetheHate, who has a strong track record with Nintendo leaks—correctly predicting the Star Fox 64 remake and the Ocarina of Time remake—recently stated that Expedition 33 “will come to Switch 2 this year.” It’s the only title from Nate’s earlier batch of potential reveals that hasn’t surfaced, and his update suggests the port remains on track despite its no-show at the Direct. Given the game’s commercial and critical success—reportedly selling millions and winning more Game of the Year awards than any other title—its eventual arrival on Switch 2 would be a significant addition to the platform’s library.
Mixed Porting Results
Porting outcomes for Switch 2 vary across studios. Capcom has successfully confirmed Onimusha: Way of the Sword, Resident Evil Requiem, and Pragmata for the platform, while FromSoftware’s Elden Ring port faced a substantial delay. Sandfall could be encountering similar technical or timing challenges that kept Expedition 33 out of the Direct’s spotlight. Until Nintendo or Sandfall makes an official statement, the status remains speculative, but Nate’s history lends weight to the claim that 2026 will still see Expedition 33 arrive on Switch 2.
