Elation Trailblazer (EMC) Guide: Best Teams & Synergy

To get the most out of Elation Trailblazer (EMC) in Honkai: Star Rail, you need a team built around at least one Elation DPS, though the synergy really shines when you include two additional Elation characters. The two strongest lineups are EMC + Yao Guang + Huohuo + Sparxie, or EMC + Yao Guang + Huohuo + Silver Wolf LV.999. Both setups give EMC plenty of opportunities to trigger their Elation Skill and maximize the team’s damage output.

      Understanding EMC’s Kit

EMC’s pre-fight Technique grants the entire team a 20% or 30% Elation boost for three turns. Their Ultimate is a multi-effect powerhouse: it provides a Crit DMG boost and removes crowd control, triggers an Elation Skill that gives 10 Certified Banger if the target is an Elation unit (or a 50% action advance if not), counts 20 Punchline points toward its damage calculation, recovers 1 Skill Point, and—once you unlock E2—adds a further 12% Elation. The Talent rewards basic attacks with 3 Punchline points, helping you build toward Elation-damage interactions. At E4, the Elation Skill also increases enemy damage taken by 10% for two turns, amplifying your team’s overall DPS.

Running EMC in a Sparxie Team

In a Sparxie/Aha-focused team (EMC, Yao Guang, Sparxie, Huohuo), EMC can replace Sparkle. The trade-off is losing Sparkle’s constant Skill Point recovery and extra SP limit (unless Sparxie has her signature weapon). In return, you get more frequent Elation Skill triggers because both Yao Guang and EMC can activate it before Aha’s turn. Building EMC with high SPD makes Aha’s turn come faster, directly raising team DPS.
