Silksong Trobbio Boss Guide: How I Beat The Stage’s Theatrical Menace

I’ll be honest: I almost skipped Trobbio. In 2026, Hollow Knight: Silksong’s Act 2 is still packed with mandatory horrors, and an optional performer in The Stage felt like a vanity fight. But after finally cracking open the Stage Door above the Grand Bellway, I understood why Team Cherry teased this bug in pre-release trailers. Trobbio is not just a boss; he is a full theatrical production, complete with fireworks, trapdoors, and a death scene that deserves an audience.

Where Trobbio Is Hiding in Silksong

Trobbio waits relatively deep into Act 2, inside The Stage, a sub-area of the Choral Chambers within the Citadel. The fight is optional, but reaching it is not a straight line. To unlock Trobbio’s boss room, I had to get to the other side of the locked Stage Door, just above the Grand Bellway, and activate a lever.

Here is the route that finally worked for me:

1. Defeat the Clockwork Dancers.

2. Drop down into the Cogwork Core.

3. Navigate through the Whispering Vaults to find the right-side entrance to The Stage.

4. Jump up into the rafters.

5. Drop down on top of the golden lever and hit it.

6. Ride the shortcut back to the Choral Chambers.

7. Return to the Grand Bellway and sit on the bench.

That bench rest matters. It resets the room and gives you a clean approach to the Stage. If you skip it, you can still walk back, but the fight feels more chaotic when you enter with low health or missing tools.
