Resident Evil Requiem: Cut Content Leak

A set of purported leaked images has surfaced online, offering a glimpse into content that was cut from Resident Evil Requiem during development. Shared initially by Japanese streamer umesooooo and later amplified by known leaker Dusk Golem, the images are widely regarded as authentic and have sparked discussion among fans about the game’s abandoned mechanics and design choices.

      Weapon Merchant and Upgrade Changes

The images show an early weapon-upgrade screen featuring a prototype version of the Requiem revolver, with a shadowy merchant figure standing nearby that resembles a reinterpretation of the Resident Evil 4 merchant. In the final release of Requiem, however, weapon upgrades and purchases are handled through an in-game touchscreen and menu system, replacing the in-world merchant interface entirely.

      Side-Missions and Credit System

Another image lists side-missions that would have rewarded players with credits. Tasks include inspecting a warehouse, obtaining fuses, investigating a gas station, and opening a BSAA container. In the shipped game, credits are earned primarily through kills rather than completing these optional objectives. The remaining side-missions follow a similar structure of exploration and item retrieval.

      Scrapped Blood Injection Mechanic

Leon is shown holding a blood collection kit and a syringe-like device, hinting at a scrapped mechanic where he could inject collected blood for temporary bonuses, with the risk of overdosing and suffering negative effects. In the final game, only the character Grace can collect blood, and she does not self-inject; instead, the blood serves a different purpose entirely.
