Deep in Shellwood, I found a rooted horror hanging above me like a nightmare made of bark and spite. Sister Splinter slams her colossal hands into the ground, and every impact felt like it was designed to crush my confidence. The real cruelty is the combination. Her thorn vines shrink the arena unless I waste time destroying them, and the summoned enemies deal two damage while I am already dancing around massive attacks. I spent most of that fight managing space more than actually fighting her.

Disgraced Chef Lugoli: Cooking Up A Nasty Fight

Some bosses are funny until they ruin you. Disgraced Chef Lugoli throws their body around in a goofy way, but the leech-filled food blobs are no joke. If one of those sticky blobs hits, leeches latch onto me and drain my silk over time. The only way to remove them is binding, which costs precious silk I wanted to save for healing. It became an awful resource puzzle: heal, bind, or die trying to do both.
