Raging Conchfly in Silksong: A Player’s Cheeky Guide to Bashing the Flying Shell-Spitter

Some bosses in Hollow Knight: Silksong are elegant dances; others are chaotic mosh pits. And then there is the Raging Conchfly. This overgrown, agitated mollusk with wings doesn’t just float around — it zips, dives, and spits razor-sharp pine cones like a confetti cannon at a funeral. Oh boy, the first encounter usually ends with Hornet faceplanting into the sand while the player stares at the screen, muttering, “Did that shell just curve mid-air?” Yes. Yes it did. But take a deep breath: once you learn to read its smoky sneezes and stop panicking at every spiky projectile, you can turn the tables and make that conch wish it had stayed in its shell.

Where the Shell Is This Thing? Locating the Raging Conchfly

The Raging Conchfly nests deep in an area that tests both platforming chops and patience. From the Sands of Karak bench, turn left and slip past the elevator into the next chamber. Drop all the way to the bottom and smack the yellow node to kickstart a series of timed platforming segments that ferry Hornet upward. Use every scrap of air control to navigate left into another room stuffed with even more acrobatics, activating each section in sequence until you reach a chamber with a tiny bridge. See that massive red pine cone hanging directly above? It’s not decoration.

Equip the Cling Grip to scale the wall, whack the pine cone, and watch it crash down to shatter the bridge. That booming crack is the sound of progress — literally breaking a path downward. Descend the newly opened chasm, and you’ll spot another red pine cone dangling above a flying enemy. Give that one a solid thwack too, obliterating the floor and revealing the drop to Blasted Steps
