Marvel Rivals: Devil Dinosaur Ultimate Exploit

Marvel Rivals Season 8 has introduced Devil Dinosaur as a new Vanguard, and players have already discovered an exploit in his ultimate ability that appears to be unintended. By binding jump to the mouse scroll wheel and wedging the dinosaur under a low ceiling, players can trigger the ultimate’s shockwave at an extraordinary rate, shredding enemies in seconds.

The Exploit

Devil Dino’s ultimate grants bonus health and movement speed, and produces a damaging shockwave each time he takes a step. This shockwave also activates on jumps, a detail player WhyAndr3w exploited by binding the jump key to the mouse scroll wheel. By constantly jumping in a tight space—such as directly under a ceiling—the shockwave fires repeatedly. In testing, roughly ten shockwaves were produced in a single second, eliminating a full-health Venom in about seven seconds. Characters with lower health are deleted even faster.

Situational but Deadly

The exploit is highly situational, requiring an overhead ceiling or narrow choke point. However, it can be amplified by teammates: a Groot can place a wall directly above the ulting Devil Dino, creating an instant kill zone almost anywhere. The shockwave’s radius is modest, but the sheer volume of damage makes enclosed spaces deadly.

Likely to Be Patched

This technique follows a pattern of unintended character tech discovered in previous seasons, and the developers are expected to address it in an upcoming patch. For now, the immediate advice for players is simple: when you hear an enemy Devil Dinosaur ultimate, avoid staying inside any enclosed area. If trapped under a ceiling with a rampaging dinosaur, escape the confined space as quickly as possible.
