Bandai Namco has announced that Elden Ring Nightreign, the standalone cooperative spin-off set in a parallel world to the 2022 original, will launch on May 30, 2025. The game will be priced at $40 at launch and will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.

Network Test Schedule

Ahead of the full release, a network test will run from February 14 to 17, 2025, exclusively on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. This is not a continuous beta but a series of five three-hour sessions: February 14 from 3–6 a.m. PT and 7–10 p.m. PT, February 15 from 11 a.m.–2 p.m. PT, and February 16 from 3–6 a.m. PT and 7–10 p.m. PT. Bandai Namco describes it as a large-scale stress test designed to evaluate online system functionality and performance, with selected testers playing a portion of the game.

Gameplay Overview

Elden Ring Nightreign supports three-player co-op, with each player choosing from eight distinct Nightfarers, each equipped with unique abilities and powerful Ultimates. Sessions take place in Limveld, an ever-changing map that features a three-day-and-night cycle. As night falls, the Night’s Tide shrinks the map, forcing players into tighter encounters. At the end of each night, squads face a boss, culminating on the third night against the dreaded Nightlord. The core loop encourages exploration and combat, with Sites of Grace offering leveling opportunities and deeper map regions yielding stronger weapons and Runes. Even failed runs award relics that allow players to customize and upgrade their characters, and persistent stat bonuses carry over between sessions, rewarding repeated playthroughs.
