Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test – Registration Guide
Registration for the Elden Ring Nightreign network test opens today, January 10, and runs through January 20 on the Bandai Namco website. Signing up only grants a chance to be selected; participants are chosen at random. The test itself takes place February 14–17, but is only accessible during five scheduled three-hour windows. Those windows are: February 14 from 3am–6am PT / 6am–9am ET and 7pm–10pm PT / 10pm–1am ET; February 15 from 11am–2pm PT / 2pm–5pm ET; and February 16 from 3am–6am PT / 6am–9am ET and 7pm–10pm PT / 10pm–1am ET.
Access is limited to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, though the full release of Elden Ring Nightreign will also come to PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Importantly, players do not need a PlayStation Plus or Xbox Game Pass Core subscription to participate. Bandai Namco describes the event as a large-scale network stress test intended to evaluate online functionality and performance; some text and features in the test build may differ from the final game.
What Is Elden Ring Nightreign?
Elden Ring Nightreign is a standalone cooperative spin-off set in a world parallel to 2022’s Elden Ring, announced at The Game Awards 2024 with a 2025 release window. The network test offers a three-player co-op experience where each player chooses from eight unique characters called Nightfarers, each with distinct abilities and powerful Ultimates. The action takes place in Limveld, an ever-changing map where a three day-and-night cycle shrinks the battlefield with each passing night. At the end of the third night, squads must face a formidable Nightlord boss.
