Marvel Rivals Poll: Ghost Rider Leads Vote

With Marvel Rivals officially launching on December 6, 2024, and dropping with 33 playable heroes and villains, the team behind it is already looking toward the future. NetEase posted a poll in the Marvel Rivals Discord asking which characters players want to see next, listing nine options plus an “other” write-in. At the time of writing, Ghost Rider is blazing ahead with roughly 2,600 votes—a surprising front-runner given the heavyweight names on the list. Right behind him is Deadpool at about 16 percent, followed closely by Gambit.

      My Pick: Gambit

Of the nine candidates, Gambit is the one I’m most excited about. His card-based powers could translate into some seriously creative and unique mechanics, and with all the love Channing Tatum’s take on the character got in Deadpool & Wolverine, a future Gambit project feels inevitable. That’d be a prime opportunity for a crossover promotion between the movie and Rivals down the line.

      How to Vote

You can cast your own vote by joining the Marvel Rivals Discord and heading to the polls tab. If you’re inclined to help a character in need, I’d really appreciate it if you threw a vote at Thanos. The Mad Titan is languishing near the bottom, and while I’d love Gambit to win, he’s doing fine on his own. I just don’t want NetEase to think nobody wants the Infinity Gauntlet in the game.

This poll is a neat window into what might come next for the live-service title. Whether it’s Ghost Rider’s hellcycle or Deadpool’s fourth-wall breaking, the results could hint at future additions—and maybe even some cross-promotional surprises.
