EA has announced the national team line-up for EA FC 26’s unofficial World Cup mode, The World’s Game, which launches on 4 June. The mode features 53 countries, with 41 of them participating in this summer’s real-world World Cup. These teams will compete in a 48-team tournament, and players can also access a dedicated Event Hub, a Festival of Football-themed campaign, and other content updates. The announcement was accompanied by a reveal trailer and promotional imagery. The World’s Game mode runs throughout the World Cup period, offering a parallel tournament that mirrors the real competition, allowing players to guide any of the 48 teams to glory.

The World’s Game Mode and Playable Teams

Among the playable nations are Argentina, England, and France; the full 53-nation lineup spans all continents. The remaining teams not in the real tournament add variety, including nations like New Zealand, Uzbekistan, and Cabo Verde. In Kick Off mode, additional countries become playable, and new international tournament objectives give players further goals. Kick Off expands the roster beyond the 48-team tournament, allowing use of any nation with tailored objectives for international fixtures.
